With two critically acclaimed albums behind him along with a list of live shows played in excellent venues and unique places (including the 2012 Ramsbottom Festival), John Herring is a singer songwriter born out of the same mould as people like John Bramwell (I Am Kloot) and Paul Heaton (Beautiful South/Housemartins).

John’s songs combine the lyrical grit of the contemporary urban North with the sweeping strings and guitars associated with a songwriter who melds pop, indie and melody beautifully.

“John can easily be compared to the likes of Kurt Wagner & Nick Drake as a master craftsman both lyrically & musically.”– Bob Osborne, SCR

John will be supported by The Remedy – an up and coming, mellow, acoustic duo consisting of singer songwriter Hannah Spurgeon and creative bass player Elliott Dryden. Described by a local journalist as “tall and skinny and tight and melodic” their self-penned songs are said to be “captivating, carefully crafted and tasteful”.
