Since the release of his debut album, Jim Causley’s unique voice and persona have helped him become one of the most well-loved and respected figures of today’s contemporary roots and folk music scene. During the past decade he has been nominated for no less than five BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, won the Spiral Earth Singer of the Year award in 2014 and in 2015 he worked with BBC TV historian Dr Sam Willis to create the music for his show – ‘Highwaymen, Outlaws and Villains‘ and was asked to perform his song ‘Pride of the Moor‘ on BBC TV’s Countryfile – Dartmoor Special.
Jim will be joined by the renowned Devon fiddle duo of Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll to form the Jim Causley Trio.
‘Jim Causley and his fellow folk musicians bring it to life with real zest, his deep baritone voice soaring as he sings’.

Huddled round a single microphone, singing intimate duets with just mountain dulcimer, dobro and guitar Hannah Sanders & Ben Savage are a folk duo that look and sound classically timeless, yet feel refreshingly unique. Fleetingly, they may evoke a memory of Gram and Emmylou, Shirley and Davey, or Gillian and David but their warm distilling of influences from both sides of the big pond produces a refined sound that is decidedly their own.
Refreshingly unafraid to take risks, delivering an intensely personal interpretation at all times. A force to be reckoned with.fRoots Magazine
