Three strangers’ lives collide after a near fatal train accident. As daily life crumbles around them, unexpected ancestral figures start to step through the veil of their once well ordered lives. Stories come forth and tangle into an increasingly confused knot. Three ‘normal’ people desperately cling to who they believed they once were. What the hell is going on and whose story is it anyway?
Je Suis Dead is a show about inheritance, or everything we carry with us from our families and cultures. What stories are we living which are not our own? What happens when inherited lines meet?
Conceived and directed by Fool’s Proof Theatre in collaboration with Gey Pin Ang (formerly of the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowksi and Thomas Richards, Italy).
“Like a poem… Every movement, tone and syllable is packed with meaning.”
