Heidi Talbot was born in Ireland, then, became a folk star in the USA as a member of the Irish American band Cherish the Ladies. She now lives in Scotland where she is married to the celebrated fiddler and multi-instrumentalist John McCusker.
With a background like that, it’s hardly surprising she should develop a style that switches easily between Celtic and Americana, but subtlety is Talbot’s magic ingredient. That special mix of talent has led her to share the stage and record with Eddi Reader, Idlewild, Mark Knopfler, King Creosote, Tim O’Brien and Jerry Douglas.
Her fifth solo LP ‘Here We Go, 1, 2, 3’ plays to the tune of quiet skips and giant leaps. It crosses the ages, jumps into the unknown, traverses oceans and musical styles – from folk, through Americana, to classic pop, and back again.
This event was due to take place at The Met but due to our refurbishment will now take place at The Elizabethan Suite. For more information please click here
