Scarecrow is bored with being stuck in his field, arms fixed wide. The crows are not scared of him anyway – in fact they have made a cosy nest in his hat.

When Farmer Geenie frees him by accident one day he discovers – hay! – he can finally move! He finds that the world around him is full of wonderful surprises and with Geenie’s help learns all about the birds and the bees, how to walk, dance, sing and find his place in the world.

What Geenie doesn’t know is that Scarecrow has a secret dream. He doesn’t really want to scare the crows. He wants to be like them, spread his arms wide and fly.

This is a show about discovering all the wonders of the world for the first time and how to live with them in harmony.

There are no words but it’s packed full of meaning, music and movement and a cavalcade of captivating costumes.

Dedicated to everyone who sometimes feels stuck-in-the-mud while wishing they could soar into the blue.
