An evening of the finest folk music in Ramsbottom, this month featuring Hannah James and Alastair Vannan, performing traditional music from the British Isles and Ireland, with an emphasis on vocal harmony and a preference for songs with strong and stirring narratives.

Hannah is well known as a member of Kerfuffle and through her critically acclaimed work with Sam Sweeney and Lady Maisery.

In addition to being a performer of British and Irish folk songs, Alastair is an archaeologist and historical researcher by profession. He combines these vocations by undertaking research into the historical context of folksong, which has been published in the Folk Music Journal of the English Folk Dance and Song Society.
