Mike Katz is a well known and popular member of The Battlefield Band. He plays Highland pipes and whistle in addition to being an outstanding guitarist. Mike’s repertoire comes from many traditions but also contains many of his own compositions.

This workshop will focus upon a number of Mike’s tunes working from their performance on pipes and subsequent development onto the low whistle. Mike will demonstrate how his piping techniques crosses over to the whistle and enhances his playing style.
