What does Freedom mean to you?

Throughout summer 2025, The Met have been working closely with community partners ADAB, The Proud Trust and the Two Tubs pub Military Mondays to interrogate this very question, inspired by the 80th Anniversary of VE and VJ Day this year.

This event will feature the world premiere of three new pieces of music by local artists who have worked with these community groups to create work that reflects how local people feel about Freedom in 2025.

The pieces will be shared alongside other local groups responding to the theme of Freedom.

This project is part of Our Freedom: Then and Now.
