Hilarious comedy at The Met on the First Thursday of every month. Featuring Peter Brush, Gary Little, Mike Carter and MC Rob Rouse.
Audiences can be forgiven for underestimating Peter Brush when he takes to the stage. If ballsy bravado is your thing then Brush certainly isn’t your man. Peter’s slight frame, spectacles and scruffy hair add nothing to the illusion that we’re in for some first class entertainment. Leeds based Peter is a quirky and unique performer and the antithesis to loud, brash comedians. A gifted writer, he supported comedy OG Alexei Sayle on his 2020 tour.
“Compellingly hilarious… achingly funny” ★★★★★ Chortle
Nothing is off topic for Gary Little, whether it’s something as mundane as dog walking etiquette, as comically ambitious as his own depression or even the occasions he has spent at Her Majesty’s pleasure (his show He’s Only Jail Gay was a hit at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe) you can rest assured he will make it devastatingly funny.
“Tears were streaming down my face” ★★★★★ Mumbles Comedy; “Brilliantly observed” Herald
Rob Rouse’s career has seen him encompass pretty much everything from presenting Channel 4’s The Friday Night Project, to appearing in the West End to teaching geography. We would like to point out that this isn’t in chronological order. Rob’s a one man comedy whirlwind who drags the audience into his craftily spun tall tales with bucketfuls of manic energy, first class stage craft, eerily convincing characterisations and a barrage of hilarious one liners.
“Go and see him now, I tell you. NOW!” ★★★★★ List; ★★★★★ Edinburgh Evening News
Liverpool’s Mike Carter is your middle act.
