The brainchild of finger-style guitar genius and singer-songwriter Sam Carter and folk revolutionary Jim Moray, False Lights debuted in summer 2014 playing the headline slot at Folk East in Suffolk.
A shared love of folk and heavy guitar music, and a week of intensive writing in a log cabin in Lincolnshire produced a moshpit-inducing, ear-ringingly dynamic, blast of in-your-face indie attitude in the name of folk. Make no mistake, the False Lights sound has more to do with Radiohead than Steeleye Span; it is an explosion of loud, electric, guitar-driven folk for the 21st century.
