Manchester-Irish fiddler Emma Sweeney marked an outstanding year in 2013 with the release of her debut album, Pangea. An impressive performer with flair, grace and integrity, Emma was a finalist at the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Awards in 2003 and came second runner up in the 2010 Tradition Awards run by Fatea.

Pangea brings together a diverse mixture of trad jigs and reels from a fusion of world influences blended with Emma’s own compositions.

Emma is joined by multi-instrumentalist and composer Matheu Watson, one of the finest young musicians in Scotland today.
