Emily Portman’s 2010 debut album The Glamoury gained her two BBC Folk Award nominations and she fast gained a reputation for her unique songwriting. Her second album Hatchling is an off-kilter collection of contemporary lullabies, apple-tree wassails, and folk carols set against a backdrop of England’s country lanes and urban backstreets. She won best original song at the 2013 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for the title track on the album. Emily performs live with the Emily Portman Trio, alongside the talented musicians Lucy Farrell (voice/viola/saw) and Rachel Newton (voice/harp/fiddle) who have become known for their ‘inventive arrangements using twinkling harp, brooding strings and chiming vocal parts’

Tom Moore, Archie Churchill-Moss and Jack Rutter hail from three distinct regions of the UK – they combine musical material, style and tradition from Norfolk, Somerset and Yorkshire respectively. Since 2009, Moore Moss Rutter have been playing as a trio, meticulously reworking English tunes and compositions into sets and songs. Often praised for musical maturity, it is their aim to carefully create soundscapes of mellow and precisely engineered beauty. The trio have performed widely, at venues and events ranging from Glastonbury, to folk clubs and living rooms. Moore Moss Rutter won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award 2011.
