April’s Emerging Showcase features Canter Semper and Linus Lai.

Trio Canter Semper

Canter Semper are a Manchester based vocal trio creating rich, soul-filled soundscapes. Their harmonies are distinct and at the forefront of their brand. They also head up a female-lead collective (Dea Collective) to work with a revolving circuit of artists and often perform with their very own backing choir (Choirs Manchester). Their music is drenched in warmth, bursting with sumptuously blended vocals; a vintage soul/roots hybrid that aims to captivate and transport listeners.

Singer-pianist Linus Lai

Linus Lai is a rising UK-based Hong-Kong-born musician. Recognised for his profound expression with great stage presence, Linus is a passionate opera singer and has been singing in different operas, including the role of Marullo in Verdi’s Rigoletto with North Wales Opera.
