Creating a progressive blend of intricate tunes, engulfing guitars, with bass and drums, Elephant Sessions music combines the very best of trad, funk and electronica resulting in a new and exciting sound. Gigging around the UK, they swiftly built a fan base and went on to release their debut album The Elusive Highland Beauty in 2014 to critical acclaim.

Already renowned for their breathtaking live shows, the band saw 2015 and 2016 full of invitations to perform at many prestigious European festivals and they were nominated as Live Act of the Year at the 2016 BBC Alba Scots Trad Music Awards.

“Quite possibly the best instrumental debut since ‘Venus in Tweeds’ by Shooglenifty” Bruce Macgregor, BBC Radio Scotland, Travelling Folk.

“Traditional folk and Celtic sounds with modern twists and styles to bring us fast paced folk rock, focusing on powerful stringed performances” Bright Young Folk
