Chanteuse, multi-instrumentalist and raconteur, Eleanor McEvoy is one of Irish music’s biggest stars. Her song Only A Woman’s Heart, was the title track of the best-selling Irish album in Irish history.
Eleanor comes to The Met with her Gimme Some Wine tour. The song, recorded and featured on her new album Forgotten Dreams, was inspired by painter Chris Gollon. Sadly Chris passed away in 2017 but his memory and paintings live on, as does her song.
Eleanor’s shows are intimate special occasions. Alone on stage, voice, guitars, fiddle and piano, she weaves a spell as she carries you through songs from her thirteen album catalogue. Her shows also include her special takes on the works of other great songwriters and singers.
