From travelling around Europe with a circus in the early 80s to receiving an MBE for services to singing in 2006 Eddi Reader has effortlessly developed into one of popular music’s most thrilling and affecting performers.
Eddi has released 11 studio albums and 8 live albums, harmonized with Annie Lennox on tour with the Eurythmics and featured as a chanteuse in the Hollywood film Me and Orson Welles starring Zac Efron and Clare Danes.
From traditional to contemporary, she brings life to all forms of song. While the perfection of her technique is widely acknowledged, what sets her apart is the depth and quality of her emotive performance. Her rare blend of meltingly true vocals and towering romanticism combine with an astute and pragmatic nature to make her a unique and powerful figure in contemporary British music.
This event is a special fundraiser with £8 from each ticket donated to the A Better Met campaign.
