Opening up Big Whistle 2017 is Ribble Valley’s high energy Drop The Floor. This ever popular traditional foursome are making a well deserved fourth visit to the festival.

The infectious enthusiasm of the Clitheroe based band has always made an impact with audiences at the event. The same pattern continues to resonate at other festivals and venues throughout the region – such is their popularity.

The band’s musicality and repertoire continues to mature with a winning mix of traditional tunes and songs from Ireland, Scotland – whilst not forgetting their native Lancashire.

The band line up features Steven Johnston on Uilleann Pipes and Whistles, Martin Baptie on Fiddle, Richard Moss on Guitar and Vocals and Daniel Burke on Tenor Banjo.
