Build your own lantern to display at Bury’s Diwali parade.
This year we are delighted to be supporting Walk The Plank’s Greater Manchester-wide celebration of the Hindu festival of Diwali.
The centrepiece of this celebration will be a parade in Bury town centre on Friday 5 November and, in the run-up, we are hosting some free workshops to help families build their own lantern to display on the parade.
There are four workshops happening across the weekend of 23 and 24 October and we are also making a small amount of lantern kits available for families to complete at home and bring to the parade.

FREE event, advance booking required.
Workshops are free but do require booking to secure a place.
These workshops are open to all ages but children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
