This year we’re delighted to announce the pantomime Dick Whittington is coming to The Met… Oh yes it is!
For the first time ever, and produced by The Big Tiny Production Company, The Met are bringing a family pantomime to the heart of Bury just in time for the Christmas period. With spectacular sets, sensational costumes, one gorgeous pantomime dame, hit songs and a side-splitting script, don’t miss your chance to join us for the most magical pantomime yet.
Poor young lad Dick Whittington and his rat-catching cat set off to find fame, fortune and adventure in London, but the path to happily-ever-after isn’t always that easy and Queen Rat hatches an evil scheme to get Dick out of his city.
Are the streets paved with gold? Can the cat catch the rat? Will Dick triumph in the end?
Dick Whittington brings fabulous costumes, glitz, glamour, silliness, slapstick and hit songs to sing along to – It’s the perfect treat for the whole family, whatever your age.
Pyjama Performance Stay up late on Thu 15 Dec for an evening show at 6:30pm and wear your pyjamas and onesies. A perfect treat for the start of the Christmas holidays.
Relaxed performance on Mon 19 Dec at 2:30pm. For pre-school children and anyone who would appreciate a more flexible, relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy the show. There will be house lights on, and doors open so you can bring unsettled little-ones in and out freely. Theatre doors will open 30 minutes before the show to allow time to get familiar with the stage and seating, and a touch tour will be available before the show begins.
BSL Interpreted performance on Tue 20 Dec at 6:30pm. A British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted performance for people with hearing difficulties or for whom BSL is their preferred language.
