Dòchas bring the weekend to a rousing finale on Saturday evening. Having delighted audiences from Achiltibuie to Austria – it’s now Bury’s turn! Dòchas have matured into a band who promise dynamic, “heart-melting vocals” and “barn-stomping tunes”.

Julie Fowlis, a vocalist in the band, has recently been named Folk Singer of The Year 2008 (she’s not bad on whistle either) at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award.

Terry Coyne is a member of Liverpool’s celebrated family of Irish traditional musicians and singers. He has toured extensively across Europe and has shared the stage with artists such as The Dubliners, The Fureys, Fairport Convention, Solas and Paddy Keenan. Amongst his many talents Terry is a stunning Low Whistler.

Skirm also enjoys great respect across Europe as a guitar vocalist and session musician. A stunning duo, perfect for the Big Whistle Weekend.
