The Met’s annual celebration of local breweries, the art of beer making, music and community returns this November.

Our historic Derby Hall will be taken over for two days by our beloved Beer Festival as we welcome breweries from across the borough of Bury along with their vast array or artisan and craft beers for you to taste, discuss and enjoy.

These local brewery bars will have a range of cask and keg creations from across the area, plus a cider bar, a gin bar and some wine tasting. Plus we’ll be finding unique guest beers from across the country for your tastes to savour!

Alongside our breweries, the weekend will also include local live entertainment, music, and the chance to speak to our local breweries to learn everything you can about the craft of beer making.

Breweries taking part are:

  • Brewsmith
  • Brightside
  • Deeply Vale
  • Marble Beers
  • Northern Monkey
  • Northern Whisper
  • Red Rose
  • Strange Times Brewing
  • We Are Wolf

Download a pdf copy of the festival programme, with a list of all the beers that will be available.

The Met is committed to reducing our environmental impact and will not be using plastic glasses at the festival. Branded glasses will be available at the event.

We’d like to remind all patrons to drink responsibly. There is a taxi bay outside of the venue and car parking close by if a member of your party is a designated driver. Non-alcoholic options will be available.

Live Music

FRIDAY: The House Devils will be performing 5pm-5:45pm and 6:45pm-7:30pm. Expect to hear Irish traditional, bluegrass and old-time music, with lots of harmonica!

SATURDAY: The Disciples of Craic will be performing 5pm-5:45pm and 6:45pm-7:30pm. Expect to hear a wide range of decade-spanning music – unique interpretations of well know tracks from genres such as rock, pop, indie, country, soul, motown, folk, Irish, and more!

Bury Beer Festival is The Met’s main annual fund-raising event. We are a registered charity, and funds raised through the festival help to support our work with communities, audiences and artists, ensuring we can continue to develop new ideas to keep everyone entertained, engaged and supported now and into the future.
