No Barriers are a group of young adults aged 16-25 years old who meet regularly at The Met to learn about working in the music industry and gain practical experiences of a live music venue.
The first No Barriers group – Basit, Corby, and Ethan – recently decided to work together to record and film a demo track for local emerging multi-instrumentalist Corby Charlesworth. With support from The Met’s in-house recording studio manager and engineer Dan Powers within a morning all the instruments – and there were a few! – were done. A second session is booked in to capture the vocals and with use of The Met’s filming equipment and guidance from Beth Dunkerley plenty of film footage has been captured for the group to work together to edit into a slick promo-video.
