We’re delighted to introduce the cast of Aladdin, The Met’s pantomime for Christmas 2023!
Produced by panto specialists Big Tiny, this laugh-out-loud show will take you on a magic carpet ride to a mystical world of genies, flying carpets, and adventure. Will Aladdin win the hand of Princess Jasmine? Will villainous Abanazar conquer the kingdom? The only way to find out is to come to The Met this December…
The show will be brought to life by a cast of seven, plus the talented young people of the Debra Simmons School of Dance…
Neil Jennings: Widow Twankey – Neil’s stage performances include Pride & Prejudice, Twelfth Night, and It’s A Wonderful Life. Film and TV appearances include Eastenders, Call the Midwife, and PULP. | |
Shahar Mizrahi: Aladdin – Shahar trained at Miskin Theatre and Bird College Conservatoire for Dance and Musical Theatre, and his credits include Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, and Bare the Musical. | |
Thea Day: Jasmine – Thea trained at Bird College and her stage credits include Jack & the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Small Island, Dick Whittington, The Visit, and Mack & Mabel. | |
Daniel Salmon-Young: Wishee Washee – Daniel has appeared in many family shows and comedy sketches since graduating in 2021. His credits include Alice In Wonderland Immersive Experience, Pinocchio, and News Revue. | |
Ian Hayles: Abanazar – Ian is an actor, writer, director and improviser. His TV appearances include Doctor Who and Coronation Street, and his stage roles have ranged from Shakespeare to musical theatre. | |
Leni Murphy: Empress / Sergeant Pepper – Leni is an actor, award-winning director, and dramaturg. Her recent credits include The Cost of Everything for Hidden Track Theatre and Moneybags at Hope Mill Theatre. | |
Aimee Louise Bevan: Genie / PC World – Aimee has credits including Small Island, In the Night Garden, The Gruffalo, and as puppeteer in Reach for the Stars and There’s a Rang-Tan in My Bedroom. | |
The Debra Simmons School of Dance – Ruby team: Eloise; Eva; Isabell; Lydia; Ruby; and Sophie. Emerald team: Amelie; Daisy; Elizabeth; Ellie; Lola; and Mylee. |
