In 2023, thanks to some funding from the Greater Manchester Hate Crime Awareness Fund, we are able to run a small project with our partners FROGS, Bury’s own youth LGBTQ+ youth group. FROGS is run by Bury Council and the Proud Trust and supports LGBTQ+ young people through providing a safe and inclusive space to socialise and take part in activities.

Our funding allowed us to place an artist with the group for a short period to undertake some creative work. The artist they worked with was Maz Hedgehog, a Manchester-based writer and performer. The culmination of this work was a poem that was written collaboratively by the group which can be seen below:
