There’s been a Murder on the Dancefloor!
At the beginning of April, Bury Youth Theatre’s senior group presented their brand new show over a two night run at The Met. Inspired by classic murder mysteries and the idea of audience involvement, the show was created to be promenade and immersive.
The show took place across three rooms in The Met and took audiences through the story of a murder at a school disco, asking them to get involved in interviewing the suspects, collecting evidence and deciding who they thought was guilty.
Audiences were stunned at the skill of the members in guiding the audience through their experiences, staying in character, starting conversations and responding to any question or challenge that was thrown at them.
It was a fantastic show and a great experience for the young people. A huge thanks and congratulations goes to their facilitator team of Lizzie Milton and Alina Rehman and a big thanks to our funder The Victoria Wood Foundation.
