The beer drinkers of Bury came out in their droves for Bury Beer Festival 2023. With over 9 breweries to and a cider bar to choose from, punters were spoilt for choice, and the competition had never been hotter for our beer of the year competition. This festival was our most successful yet and saw over 1000 visitors over the weekend.

Participating breweries included:

  • Brewsmith
  • Brightside
  • Deeply Vale
  • Marble Beers
  • Northern Monkey
  • Northern Whisper
  • Red Rose
  • Strange Times Brewing
  • We Are Wolf

With live music across the weekend, our beer lovers had plenty of entertainment to go alongside their drink of choice. The House Devils headed up Friday with The Disciples of Craic taking the reigns on Saturday.

We’re also delighted to announce that this year’s beer of the year was awarded to Salty Dog, a brew from Deeply Vale Brewery. Congratulations! This award is decided by a public vote over the weekend. All Beer Festival punters have the chance to vote for their favourite beer.
