We are excited to open applications for our Artist Development Access Fund in collaboration with GM Arts — a small pot of money designed to remove barriers and support artists who need additional help to fully access training, opportunities, and creative development.
This fund is open to artists of all disciplines at any point in their development.
What the Access Fund Can Support
The Access Fund can be used for any cost that helps you participate in training, development, or creative opportunities, including but not limited to:
- Access Support Specialist equipment such as an iPad, software, or adaptive tools Support worker fees Transport related to an access need
- Training & Professional Development Entrance/registration fees for: A film club, a conference, Workshops, classes, or short courses
- Costs that help you attend or take part in training opportunities
- Personal Circumstances Childcare costs to enable you to attend sessions.
- Any other reasonable cost related to your access needs If you’re unsure whether your request fits, you are welcome to ask!
Who Can Apply
Essential:
Artists at any stage of their career with access needs (visible or invisible) that has a connection to Bury.
We define ‘access needs’ here as anything an artist may need to fully participate in their practice. We recognise that ‘access needs’ may include things such as disability, financial barriers or caring responsibilities.
How Much Can I Apply For?
You can apply for small, practical amounts based on what you need, up to £500. We encourage you to be realistic and specific in your request.
