We’re really lucky to have two amazing performance spaces here at The Met, of which we accommodate around 250 shows per year across the two rooms.

Derby Hall 

Derby Hall is our main event space on the first floor. It’s absolutely ideal for gigs, theatre shows, dance shows, conferences and awards ceremonies.

The cost to hire this space starts from £800 + VAT (Mon-Thu) and £850 + VAT (Fri-Sun), based on a 4pm get-in and 11pm curfew and is inclusive of technical, FOH and box office staff. Additional requirements such as projector/screen are available at an additional charge. We also offer an array of marketing support options at an additional cost.

We have three layout options for this performance space:

Standing for up to 400 people. 

Seated for up to 273 people.

Music Hall. Half seated for up to 145 people, half standing for up to 150.

The Box

The Box is our smaller studio ‘black box’ space on the ground floor. It’s ideal for the more intimate shows or acoustic gigs, studio theatre showings and film screenings.

The cost to hire this space for a performance event is £350 + VAT, based on a 4pm get-in and 11pm curfew and is inclusive of technical, FOH and box office staff. Additional requirements such as projector/screen are available at an additional charge.

We have two layout options for this performance space:

Standing for up to 120 people (solo/acoustic) or 100 people (full band/set-up).

Seated for up to 80 people.
