Award winning blues-rock artist Laurence Jones comes to The Met with his debut solo acoustic On My Own tour, returning to his roots: pure blues!

Laurence Jones is a multi award-winning and critically acclaimed blues rock artist from Liverpool. He has opened and supported the likes of Sir Ringo Starr, Sir Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa and recently Status Quo. Laurence has been lucky enough to experience the blues first hand and jam with living blues legend Buddy Guy.

Laurence has just released his most personal album to date, his first ever solo acoustic blues album. On My Own is an intimate record that explores recent health struggles and takes him back to his roots where it all began. Doctor’s orders meant Jones had to re-think his high energy stage performances, the change sparked a new creative solo blues path which has already gained rave reviews.

His guitar journey started at the age of 8 on the classical guitar Laurence went on to achievie Grade eight distinction by eighteen. Now fused with his lifelong passion for the Blues music, Laurence loves to play homage to some of his blues heroes that first got him into the blues, covering blues legends such as Robert Johnson, B.B. King and Lightnin’ Hopkins!

Jones continues to add to a career that already includes multiple British Blues Awards intruding him into the Hall of Fame in the British Blues Awards, over 50,000 albums sold worldwide, #1 album in the Official UK Jazz & Blues charts.
