Eloise has been working on a project – creating a narrative short film that centres around characters on an adventure in a magical land. In her own words:
I’ve almost come to the end of the filming stage of the project and it has been so surreal and incredible watching the plans I’ve had on paper come to life as the cast make the characters feel real! As someone who has never made a narrative film before, this has been a massive learning process. From writing shot lists, sending emails with information on filming so everyone is on the same page, creating costumes and directing the cast on set there are so many skills I have learnt through this process.
I am now beginning to edit the footage and recently had a workshop on editing with Beth, The Met’s Digital Content Officer, which has made me so excited to work on this aspect of the project and really obsessed with key frames!
Getting to work on this project as part of No Barriers has been amazing! Being able to work with such skilled and creative people at The Met has made me feel so supported and really enhanced my skill set, helping me bring my ideas to life! None of this would have been possible without the support of the no barriers project!
