SHOWTIME is a dancing show arranged by Kats Dance Academy based in Heywood.
The show features children aged six plus who have been with the academy for a while. All the performers have completed exams with the UKA and are very much looking forward to performing. Also featured will be over thirty adult tap dancers.
Kats Dance Academy offers classes in a variety of dance types, such as ballet, tap dancing and contemporary dancing, as well as a drama programme, for boys and girls ages 3 to 18. Children join the Academy from the local community and from a range of backgrounds. The Academy also holds weekly adult classes for tap dancing and ballet fitness.
The show is supported by Kats Dance Fundraisers. The committee is a non-profit group with some key parent volunteers. The team try their best to raise funds for community event days and a dancing show including costumes and qualification costs to run these events. All proceeds from the show will be going to the Kats Dance Fundraisers and local charities so they can support the childrens’ love of dance
Heywood Township has helped with funding for some of the trainee teachers programme with Kats Dance Academy and other local groups have also help with this event for show costumes including Rotary Heywood 2020 and Heywood Charites Fete.
