Eclectic multi-instrumentalist David Woodman’s music inhabits the space where country, blues and folk intersect.

This show at The Met marks the launch of his sixth album Family, with songs celebrating the power of kindness and connection; evoking the transatlantic influences of James Taylor, Richard Thompson, Bruce Hornsby, Mark Knopfler and John Mayer.

His 2021 instrumental album Alchemy showcased his innovative use of hammer dulcimer and gained an international audience with compositions that took the instrument far beyond its traditional roots, following the trail blazed by Ted Yoder and Max ZT.

“David is a master of his instrument” Tony Cummings
“The deeper you go into this release the more rewarding it is” Rob Birtley
