We are delighted that we have been successful in our bid to remain an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation 2023 – 2026.
Following Arts Council England’s announcement of their latest National Portfolio Organisations for the years 2023-2026, We have been awarded an uplift in our funding which will equate to £187,431 per year from April 2023. Alongside other funding agreements, this will allow us to continue to build on our programme of work over the next 3 years. We pride ourselves on being the creative heart of Bury, delivering an array of events, workshops and outreach programmes to the people of Bury and beyond.
We are very grateful for the support we have received from Arts Council England over the years. Our sector continues to endure incredible strain as we continue to navigate the effects of covid and the current economic climate, so this is a welcome investment in The Met, and the Bury region.
Victoria Robinson, CEO of The Met commented: ‘We’re delighted to have received this important investment in culture for Bury. It allows us to further our work within the community and deliver more of the outstanding live performances, projects and workshops we’re known for. Culture is key to making Bury a great place to live and our work is only possible through generous funding from Arts Council England, Bury Council and GMCA.
