2020/21 was one of the most challenging periods in the history of The Met, with the venue closed to the public for much of the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite this we remained active, becoming the hub for United We Stream, the Greater Manchester streaming service which drew online audiences of around 45 million people.
