Head for the Hills is back as a two day event on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 September. For 2021 the festival will be moving to Burrs Country Park near Bury, as part of The Met’s Burrs Live season of shows in the park.

An interactive concert experience for children and the young at heart featuring Professor Jigget from Yan Tan Tethera and the Ain’t Misbehavin’ jazz trio (Simone Manunza guitar, Paul Harding bass and Neil McMinn drums).

Josienne Clarke (1430-1510 Main Stage)

Singer-songwriter Josienne Clarke “has risen out of the folk dungeon” with new album A Small Unknowable Thing, a zestful collection that packs a powerful punch of emotion.

Folk-pop singer-songwriter Bess Atwell mixes a scintillating acoustic sound with thoughtful reflections on life.

Harp and a Monkey (1830-1915 Second Stage)

Award-winning folk trio Harp and a Monkey specialise in poignant songs and stories about life, love and remembrance.

The Magic Numbers (1925-2025 Main Stage)

Urban Theory (2030-2115 Second Stage)

Bury-based four-piece Urban Theory have been plying their trade since 2016, their idiosyncratic blend of snarling punk, dark new wave and indie rock catching the attention of Manchester’s music industry almost from the word go.

Everything Everything (2130-2230 Main Stage)

Manchester born Everything Everything are a band who are on a never-ending quest to bring experimentation and ambition back to pop music. Their music is infectious as it is thought provoking, noted for an extremely eclectic and dynamic style.
