What a great day Happy Festival have got in store for The Met’s outdoor stage at Burrs Country Park on the last Sunday of summer.
Hosted by Britain’s Got Talent’s Steve Royle, the line-up includes comedian Rachel Fairburn, Coronation Street star and Victoria Wood’s long-time collaborator Sue Devaney with a set of songs and chat, the legendary Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band, Vikki Stone and Natasha Barnes with Funny Gals, Hannah Brackenbury with a joyful tribute to Victoria, Steve Cooper with Hands Up Who’s Happy?, Tickle Your Fancy cabaret, a special rendition of At the Chippy with Beth Allen, the Happy House Band, and loads more music, dance, performance on the main stage and have-a-go fun in the Happy Marquee.
Happy at Burrs Live is going to be a cracker! Bring a picnic or enjoy the refreshments in the park.
The day’s entertainments are suitable for all ages, but Rachel Fairburn at 9pm is strictly 18+ only.

Seeing you through the day is compere Steve Royle, fresh from fabulous success at Britain’s Got Talent. He’ll be a comedy compere like no other! The Happy House Band are Hypnojive, fabulous Manchester-based cover band who’ll have you toe-tapping in no time.

4.15 – 4.45pm Hands Up Who’s Happy? A short, sharp comedy by Steve Cooper. Meet Karl, the uptight Gallery Assistant…
5.15 – 5.40pm Jazz Club play cool tunes.
6 – 7pm Tickle Your Fancy cabaret.
Around the site
Workshop activities for all the family brought to you by Bury Creatives and Storybox. LuckyBagS, a new dance piece created especially for Happy by choreographer Ruth Jones, including some of Victoria’s greatest TV characters. The Roaming REPDAS Machine lets children and their families turn rubbish into a “recycle tree”; and another Victoria Wood classic, At The Chippy, brought to you by Beth Allen and friends.

This is an open air event on a green field site. Seating is not provided, however ticket buyers who wish to sit are invited to bring their own blankets or chairs.
