Award-winning modern folk trio Harp and a Monkey specialise in poignant, humorous and melodic songs and stories (traditional and original) about life, love and remembrance.

Harp and a Monkey have a reputation as a quality live act, and regularly tour the country to public and critical acclaim. The Manchester outfit (who have been friends for decades) enjoy a wonderful rapport with their audiences.

The Observer called their work “bold and brilliant”; Radio 2’s Mark Radcliffe said it was “fantastic” and “fascinating”;  Mojo called it “inventive”; while The Guardian described it as “excellent”.

This show will feature songs from Harp and a Monkey’s acclaimed new album The Victorians alongside material from their back catalogue. Expect plenty of thought-provoking tales about local life.
