The Seven Brave Tractor Drivers are a local Bury band who have been playing live in the Manchester area for the past two years – although all the band members have been in other acts for many years. They play a variety of genres, from Motown to soft classic rock and pop, as well as some rousing rock ‘n’ roll numbers.
The name of the band comes from a old Peter Sellers joke; the band are neither seven in number, nor very brave, and they can’t drive tractors.
The band members are John Meara (singer and guitar); Mark Deakin (mandolin, fiddle, whistle); Tony Harrison (bass); and David McLenachan (cajon and percussion).
This concert is in aid of the Bury Cancer Support Centre, a local small charity who support cancer sufferers, their carers and family with advice, therapeutic treatments and a friendly place to recover from the disease.
