Transitions is a new show which explores the themes of transition and transformation both from a personal point-of-view and from the wider perspective of migration, disability, social change and the natural world.

The show is created by poet and performer Owen Lowery, for whom the theme of transition has great personal relevance: in 1987, at the age of 18, he suffered a spinal injury and became paralysed from the shoulders down and dependent on a ventilator to breathe.

Performers appearing at The Met will include Sam Holland (Casualty, Waterloo Road, Shameless), Erin Shanagher (Peaky Blinders, Moving On, Scott and Bailey), Lucy Thatcher (Eastenders), and Francis Tucker (Coronation Street, Cutting It). The show is directed by Noreen Kershaw (Broken, Our Girl, Scott and Bailey, Moving On, Coronation Street, Emmerdale).

Transitions has been commissioned and supported by Unlimited, celebrating the work of disabled artists, with funding from Arts Council England.
