We’re thrilled to team up with Manchester’s Scruff of the Neck to bring you this taster of this year’s Head for the Hills festival, featuring four exciting emerging bands from Manchester and beyond.

Pontefract four piece Glass Caves fuse agitated rhythms, yo-yoing guitars and dissonant keyboard sounds with vocals that splinter then soar through their songs. Perfectly formed morsels of ballsy alt-rock.

Handpicking elements of rock, pop and emo in equal measure, SKIES first made their mark on the scene in late 2015. After a packed out London debut at Camden Assembly, and their electric set at Ramsbottom Festival 2016, the feisty two piece are back with their second EP and are more ambitious than ever.

Dear CAROLINE are a fast-rising four-piece indie/alternative rock band, based in Greater Manchester. They unleash an energetic sound, built on their high tempo tracks, primal rhythms, and extraordinary lyrical vernacular.

Laurel Canyon are a new band from Manchester who combined compelling harmonies with heartfelt lyrics.

Head for the Hills comes to Ramsbottom Cricket Ground on 15-17 September.

First band on stage 7.30pm; ends 11pm
Under 15s only admitted if accompanied by an adult.
