The internationally acclaimed and Grammy-nominated vocalist, Stacey Kent, returns to the UK for a very limited number of 2017 dates, featuring music from her latest album Tenderly.

Tenderly sees Stacey return to familiar ground with her first album of standards and jazz-classics since the release of her breakthrough album of 2003, ‘The Boy Next Door’ – featuring tracks such as ‘The Very Thought of You’, ‘Tangerine’, ‘In The Wee Small Hours of the Morning’ and ‘Embraceable You’.

The intervening years have seen Kent broaden her repertoire to include originals written specially for her by Booker Prize winning novelist, Kazuo Ishiguro and Jim Tomlinson. Her platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated ‘Breakfast On The Morning Tram’ (Blue Note/EMI 2007), was described in Jazz Times as a ‘marvellously inventive launching pad for this bold, brave new Kent’. This was followed by ‘Raconte-Moi’, Kent’s first live album ‘Dreamer in Concert’, and ‘The Changing Lights’.

‘If, like me, you’ve been hoping that Stacey Kent would one day make another album of classic American songs, here it is at last… Deceptively simple, meticulously presented, each of the 12 tracks is a little gem. Kent’s soft, light voice is as persuasive as ever, and the playing is, of course, immaculate.’***** The Guardian
