The 1980’s gave birth of a new breed of British music. 1983 saw The Stone Roses form in Manchester; they were one of the pioneering groups of the Madchester movement that was active during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band released their debut album in 1989, which was a breakthrough success and garnered critical acclaim. With many critics regarding it as one of the greatest British albums ever recorded it was the beginning of something much bigger and a scene that was to change music forever. Madchester was born.
This was to be the starting point for many British bands like The Happy Mondays, Oasis, The Charletons, The Verve, The Farm, Inspiral Carpets to name a few. They were to take over the world of music.
Mad4Brit is an exciting energetic tribute to that very era, taking their audiences on a nostalgic journey of their youth played out through music and film back to a time when music was a way of life. Relive Madchester all over again with Mad4Brit, the band will take you on a journey back to a time when everybody was mad for it!
