The Mighty Revelators got together in 2009 to play quality funky blues.
Each member of the band has a wealth of experience from playing in several other, different bands over the years. Whilst each individual has certain influences, their mutual love of the blues and a desire to play tastefully and respectfully ‘for the song’ become evident when they play. All of the band contribute to the songwriting process, and the majority of their repertoire is original compositions. Great songs by great players. Influences are too numerous to mention them all, but you may hear a musical tip of the hat to players such as BB King, Bo Diddley, Ronnie Earl, Johnny Guitar Watson, Steve Cropper, Elmore James, Albert Collins, Roy Buchanan, The MGs, Little Feat, The Meters, The Allmans. The list goes on.
The new album, ‘Eyes on the Road’ is out now.
