Steve Ashley is one of British folk’s finest singer-songwriters. His songs have been covered by an ever-growing list of artists including Fairport Convention, Anne Briggs, Martin Simpson, Wizz Jones and Phil Beer.

Steve’s 1974 debut Stroll On is now widely acknowledged as a folk-rock classic and his last album, Time and Tide was summed up in fROOTS as “a modern day masterpiece”.

Prolific rock author Dave Thompson recently published a musical biography of Steve’s career: Fire and Wine – An Armchair Guide to Steve Ashley. Signed copies will be available on the night.
