Inspired by the language and themes of The Seafarer, an anonymous 10th century poem, as well as official material from a recent controversial sea migrants’ tragedy, Drift is a powerful performance combining live voice, live percussion and 3D textual projections to blend the past and present.
“Thank heaven for Caroline Bergvall, an artist and poet pushing the boundaries of language in a blogged-up and twittering digital world”
– The Guardian
Collaborative team: Caroline Bergvall – overall concept / texts / live voice, Ingar Zach – live and treated percussion, Thomas Koppel – visual treatment and programming, Michele Pralong – dramaturg.
