As seen at Ramsbottom Festival, folk singer-songwriter and teller of tales Otis Gibbs returns to The Met.

Otis Gibbs is as honest and authentic as it gets. This Nashville singer and songwriter has slept in hobo jungles, walked with Romanian shepherds and wrestled a bear (he lost). His songs tell brutally realistic stories of the struggle to survive in contemporary America.

Much of his work concentrates on the world that is ignored by pop culture. Sometimes forgotten, obsolete or simply marginalized, it is a world that doesn’t fit into a twenty-second sound bite. Otis has spent the last fifteen years travelling across America and has a story to share about each stop along the way.

If you like Woody Guthrie, Steve Earle or Bruce Springsteen, you’ll love Otis Gibbs.
