John McSherry is renowned as a world-class piper and whistle player. He is held up by many as being one of the best to come out of Ireland. In a recent review of the award winning album Tripswitch (John McSherry and Donal O’Connor), Geoff Wallis wrote “if there’s a better Irish album released in 2006 I’ll willingly dance naked in Trafalgar Square with a ferret on my head. But only if Tripswitch is playing in the background”.

Supported by Hard Times a nationally rated Lancashire based traditional trio who have a busy festival diary.
