David is Artistic Director with The Met – managing the programme to ensure we’re meeting the expectations of audiences, partners and funding bodies. With a focus on audiences and opportunities for artists David programmes over 200 events each year plus Head for the Hills, Big Whistle and Manchester Folk Festival. David has previously worked with Stockport Arts Team, Edinburgh Fringe and Belfast Festival and is a proud board member with Horse and Bamboo Theatre Company, The Audience Agency and Wild Rumpus.

What’s your favourite Met memory
Most memorable performances include persuading Ross Ainslie & Ali Hutton to open a show from side of the room and join Salsa Celtica in a conga around the main theatre before taking to the stage for the main set. It was ridiculous but quite joyful.
