Head for the Hills is back!
We’re thrilled to announce that Head for the Hills, The Met’s outdoor music festival, will be returning as a two day event on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 September 2021.
For one-year only the festival will be moving from Ramsbottom to Burrs Country Park near Bury, as part of The Met’s Burrs Live season of shows in the park – but don’t worry, we plan to be back at our normal home at the cricket ground in 2022.
This will be a smaller – but still perfectly formed! – Head for the Hills with the same commitment as before to bringing you an amazing weekend of fantastic live music.
What’s on?
Artists appearing include Everything Everything, Badly Drawn Boy, The Magic Numbers, Ibibio Sound Machine, Bess Atwell, Heavy Salad and Harp and a Monkey, and there are special activities for families on the Saturday. See the pages for each day for more details.
Food and drink
Brightside Brewery will be providing the drinks and will be complemented beautifully by a varied selection of local food vendors, so all you need to bring is yourself and a chair or blanket, sit back and soak up those summer festival feels.
Funders and sponsors
Head for the Hills and Burrs Live are supported by Arts Council England, GMCA, Bury Council and Bury Town of Culture. Principal sponsors Contained Air Solutions and Avoira. Sponsored by Kadant UK, ISM Waste and Recycling, Pearson Ferrier, WHN Solicitors and Crown Oil. Community partners Lancashire Wildlife Trust and Walk the Plank.
