Scarlet has worked in the Events Team at The Met for coming up to ten years, a week after leaving high school in 2008. Promoted to Assistant Event Manager and volunteer Coordinator for Head For The Hills Festival in 2014, it is Scarlet’s job along with her team to ensure our customers and artists have an enjoyable experience at our events.

When not at The Met, Scarlet can be found at Old Trafford watching Manchester United or tending to horses at her aunties stables.

What’s your favourite band?
Hmmm my favourite band has to be Pink Floyd however my favourite musician of all time without a shadow of a doubt is the late and great David Bowie. To have seen Bowie live would have been a dream come true for me.

What’s your favourite memory of The Met?
When you work in the events department you can imagine there are a lot of crazy memories with all the shows we’ve worked and people we’ve met along the way. We are all great friends so when you put us in a building together there is guaranteed laughter. I’d say my best memories are back in the early days working long christmas festival dressed as santa and just generally having tears in your eyes laughter from all the harmless fun we had playing tricks on each other and joking with our regulars.

What was your first gig?
One of my first gigs was Salsa Celtica, I remember because I got a free CD and a customer bought me a bag of chips that I hid behind the old box office which is now Malt bar.
